Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, shared, and stood with us.
Through your incredible generosity, we raised a total of $13,104 for Nepal Flood Relief.
Your large or small contribution will support relief efforts through United Mission to Nepal in providing much-needed assistance to those impacted by the devastating flood.
Please continue to pray for those who have lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods, and for the people working on the ground to bring relief and hope.
May God bless you & Nepal

The recent devastating glacial flood that surged down the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers has taken over 1,287 lives, with thousands still missing, injured, or having lost homes, land and livelihoods.
While our church has been grieving with Nepal, praying and lamenting, we have also opened the 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝 to provide immediate relief to affected communities in 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐰𝐚, 𝐍𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠.
Our church has resolved to grant the proceeds to the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥, who has a long-standing relationships in these communities, and are already providing food and essential relief items on the ground.
We have committed $5,000 from church funds, and are inviting a special offering over the next two Sundays. We invite you to give alongside us, whether you are part of our congregation, the wider Nepali community, or beyond. Give what you are able. Every gift goes to the same place. Let’s make a difference together.

The devastating floods in Nepal have brought deep sorrow and concern to many of us here in New Zealand and across the Nepali community. As we hear of lives lost, families affected, homes damaged, and communities facing uncertainty, our hearts are heavy with grief. During this difficult time, we are reminded of the importance of standing together, praying together, and supporting one another.
On behalf of Grace Nepali Church, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out to us and to the wider Nepali community during this challenging time.
A special thank you to our dear Brother Rodger, who spent more than two decades serving the people of Nepal through INF (International Nepal Fellowship), for his warm visit to Grace Nepali Church and for bringing comfort, encouragement, and prayers to us during this time of mourning. We are also deeply grateful to Heather and Mike for their warm messages, care, prayers, and for taking the time to drop by with their thoughtful gesture of love and support. Our sincere thanks also go to Arnold for his kindness, care, encouragement, and support towards Grace Nepali Church and the Nepali community. We truly appreciate each of you for standing with us and showing such genuine love and compassion during this difficult period.
We would also like to thank everyone else who has been showering Grace Nepali Church and the Nepali community here in Christchurch with care through messages, phone calls, prayers, personal visits, words of encouragement, and many other acts of kindness. Every message, prayer, visit, and gesture of support has meant so much to us.
For many of us, the situation in Nepal is deeply personal, as it affects our families, relatives, friends, and communities. Being far from home during such a devastating situation can be especially difficult, and the support and compassion we have received here in New Zealand have brought great comfort and encouragement.
At this time, we continue to keep everyone affected by the floods in Nepal in our prayers — those who have lost loved ones, those who are missing family members, those who have been injured or displaced, families who have lost their homes and livelihoods, and communities facing the enormous challenges caused by the disaster.
We especially pray for those who are grieving and for families anxiously waiting for news about their loved ones. We also pray for those involved in rescue, relief, and recovery efforts, asking God to give them strength, wisdom, protection, and courage as they serve those affected.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
As a church family, we believe that our prayers should also be accompanied by compassion and practical action wherever we are able to help.
Grace Nepali Church is currently planning to send relief funds to support affected families and people in Nepal. We are carefully considering how we can provide meaningful and responsible assistance to those most in need.
We will soon share further information about our relief efforts and how our church family and wider community can participate. Please keep an eye on our social media pages and website for updates.
In moments of tragedy, we are reminded that compassion knows no borders. Although we are thousands of kilometres away from Nepal, we can still stand alongside those who are suffering through our prayers, encouragement, generosity, and practical support.
To everyone who has stood with Grace Nepali Church and the Nepali community during this difficult time: thank you.
Your prayers matter.
Your messages matter.
Your presence matters.
Your kindness matters.
May God comfort every grieving family, strengthen those affected, protect those responding to the disaster, and bring hope, healing, and restoration to the communities affected by the floods.
We stand together. We pray together. We care together.
Pray for Nepal. Stand with Nepal. Support Nepal.
With gratitude,
Grace Nepali Church
